The Mico University College last Tuesday held its annual presentation of scholarship awards ceremony, which saw 39 students receiving bursaries with an overall value of $5 million. Here scholarship recipients are joined by scholarship donors, members of staff, and other members of the Mico family
The Mico Gains Accreditation for 19 Programmes 
Effective October 12, 2015, the following programmes have been accredited: Business Studies, Computer Science, Family and Consumer Science, Geography and Environmental Studies, History and Culture, Industrial Technology, Language and Literacy, Language and Literature, Library and Information Studies, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, and Visual Arts.
Dr. Ryland Campbell, Deputy Pro Chancellor of The Mico University College looks on as Dr. Asburn Pinnock (Left), President of The Mico accepts a contribution of $400,000 from Edward Nugent, past student of The Mico. Nugent presented the cheque on behalf of the Class of 1962 during the university college's general assembly which took place on October 13, 2015 at The Mico's Marescaux Road campus.

Thwaites Calls on The Mico to set the pace for Teaching
Education Minister, Ronald Thwaites called on The Mico University College to set the pace for the teaching profession in Jamaica by ensuring that its graduates are globally marketable. "The Mico still has much to contribute to teacher education and development of the nation," said the Minister during his speech at The Mico's installation ceremony for its new chancellor, Dr. Roderick Karl James on the grounds of the institution on October 6, 2015.
